Ordered myself a couple of things- A quilt from Tim at
Enlightened equipment, (Not a cuben though- more on that later) and a
Montbell Tachyon jacket. I've been toying with the quilt idea for a while now- should save me weight and be warmer than the PHD minim ultra. Tim is another manufacturer who is fantastic to deal with. The Tachyon is a hooded windshirt so ideal for keeping ears warm and I love my windshirt. I've found that Montbell fits my body shape really nicely.

The Enlightened Equipment web site seems to be down at the moment, both your link and the link from a google search leads to a 404 not found. It's a shame as I've not seen any of this stuff yet. Looking forward to your review!
I know that Tim was going to let his .com lapse his new site does exist somewhere in the ether but I can't seem top link to it
This is a bit wet of me, I realise, but how do you acquire Mont Bell stuff? Do they have a European or UK distributor? I did try looking at their website and wasn't too encouraged.
6 oz for a full wind suit is incredible. Are you aware of any compromises made to reach this weight? Short arms for example?
There is apparently a shop in Switzerland that can send you stuff- I've always ordered it from the States- Prolite gear are very good as are Oregon Mountain Community. There are no compromises size wise- the arms are plenty long enough on my Down inner jacket and now my Tachyon. They do have an 'athletic' cut and seem to suit people with a smaller build. Mainly, it is the incredibly thin material. Naturally this is not so abrasion resistant as thicker/heavier materials, but my Tachyon makes my Pertex Quantum jacket seem robust. I think it's probably stronger than it appears but I will be treating it carefully.
Thank you.
I'll look at Prolite and Oregon Mountain Community.
